Map show that most popular last name in every state of US

The most popular names in United States are
Smith, Garcia , Lopez , Johnson, Miller, Jones, Williams, and Anderson.

Genealogy website Ancestry.com pulled data on the most common surnames in every state andpublished the most popular ones in a map on its website.

Smith, a name once reserved for metal workers that is derived from the Old English for "to smite" or "strike," is one of the most popular last names in 45 states.

California, Hawaii, Montana, New Mexico, and North Dakota are not among them. Some of their most common surnames have origins outside the English language, like Garcia and Lopez - both of which are common in California, a state with a large Hispanic population.

World largest Quaran

An Egyptian artist who educated himself after dropping out of school has spent three years creating what he hopes is the world’s biggest Quran.
Saad Mohammed, who has hand- painted Islamic motifs on the walls and ceilings of his home in the town of Belqina, north of Cairo, has reproduced the Muslim holy book on a paper scroll 700 metres long. “This Quran is 700 metres long, and of course that’s a large amount of paper,” he told Reuters Television.
“I self-funded this project for the past three years – and I’m an average person. I don’t have assets or anything.”
Mohammed says he is hoping for help with the costs of applying to Guinness from the government or any other interested party.

An African girl save by 3 lines 😉

For so many Ethiopian girls, living in constant fear of abduction, rape, and forced marriage is a way of life. After all, approximately 70 percent of all marriages in the country occur this way. The sad truth is that it came as no shock when one 12-year-old girl was abducted and forced to marry.

Ethiopian girl reportedly guarded by lions

A 12-year-old girl who was abducted and beaten by men trying to force her into a marriage was found being guarded by three lions who apparently had chased off her captors, a policeman said .

The girl, missing for a week, had been taken by seven men who wanted to force her to marry one of them, said Sgt. Wondimu Wedajo, speaking by telephone from the provincial capital of Bita Genet, about 350 miles southwest of Addis Ababa.

She was beaten repeatedly before she was found June 9 by police and relatives on the outskirts of Bita Genet, Wondimu said. She had been guarded by the lions for about half a day, he said.

“They stood guard until we found her and then they just left her like a gift and went back into the forest,” Wondimu said.

“If the lions had not come to her rescue, then it could have been much worse. Often these young girls are raped and severely beaten to force them to accept the marriage,” he said.
